In your role, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities that are crucial for addressing the mental health needs of our patients:

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, focusing on understanding each patient’s unique trauma experiences to formulate tailored treatment strategies.
• Design, implement, and review individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, addressing both psychological symptoms and coping strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing pathways.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to explore their feelings, develop resilience, and implement coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to mental health treatment, addressing patients’ needs holistically.
• Be prepared to deliver crisis intervention and support, particularly during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that clients receive immediate assistance.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and resilience, enhancing their understanding of the therapeutic process and available resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation per legal and ethical requirements, ensuring that all records are up to date and accurate.
• Engage in ongoing case consultations and team meetings to continually refine our trauma-informed therapeutic practices and ensure the sharing of knowledge among staff.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care we deliver.

Our clinic serves a diverse population of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including emotional, psychological, and physical distress. To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate approach that fosters trust and connection with clients.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate digital communication tools efficiently.
• Capacity to remain composed during high-stress situations, reflecting a calm and supportive demeanor.

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with proven experience in trauma-focused therapies are highly valued. Your practical experience can significantly enhance our capacity to serve our clientele effectively.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we provide:
