Guides students through analyzing two-dimensional and three-dimensional force systems, solving truss problems using method of joints and sections, computing centroids of composite shapes, and calculating friction forces. Emphasizes systematic problem-solving approaches and connects statics to structural analysis, machine design, and construction engineering.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with engineering statics curricula and common challenges such as drawing accurate free body diagrams, identifying correct equilibrium equations, and handling three-dimensional force systems. Adapts instruction using step-by-step problem-solving frameworks, visual force diagrams, and practice problems of increasing complexity to support first and second year engineering students building foundational mechanics skills.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
