Niyam is seeking an experienced Maximo Senior Solution Architect in support of our work with a federal client. The Maximo Senior Solution Architect serves as the technical authority for the design, architecture, integration, governance, and optimization of IBM Maximo Asset Management and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) solutions. This role provides strategic leadership across enterprise asset management (EAM), system architecture, data architecture, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and application modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, project manager, infrastructure teams, and development resources to design scalable, secure, and high-performing Maximo solutions that support organizational objectives and digital transformation initiatives.We offer competitive compensation and benefits.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of IBM Maximo Asset Management (7.6.x) and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) IBM Maximo Asset Management solutions across multiple environments and business units.
    • Develop enterprise-wide solution architectures that align business requirements with technology capabilities and industry best practices.
    • Define technical standards, design principles, governance frameworks, and implementation methodologies for Maximo-related initiatives.
    • Serve as the primary technical advisor for strategic Maximo modernization, migration, and transformation projects.
    • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, architectural patterns, and platform enhancements to improve operational efficiency and system capabilities.
    • Design and maintain enterprise data models supporting asset management, maintenance, inventory, procurement, and operational business processes.
    • Establish data governance standards, master data management practices, and data quality frameworks across Maximo and integrated enterprise systems.
    • Lead complex data migration, conversion, cleansing, and validation initiatives for system implementations and upgrades.
    • Develop strategies for data lifecycle management, retention, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
    • Architect highly available, scalable, and secure Maximo environments supporting enterprise workloads.
    • Lead integration strategy and implementation efforts between Maximo, financial systems, and other enterprise systems.
    • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps supporting future growth, scalability, modernization, and digital transformation objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
    • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to administrator, developers, configurators, analysts, and support personnel.
    • Lead architecture reviews, technical design workshops, and solution governance activities.
    • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture documentation, system diagrams, standards, and technical roadmaps.
    • Support project planning, resource estimation, and technical decision-making processes.


    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experiencesupporting IBM Maximo Asset Management and/or Maximo Application Suite implementations.
    • 5+ years of experience in enterprise solution architecture, data architecture, or systems engineering roles.
    • Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale EAM solutions.
    • Demonstrated expertise in Maximo architecture, configuration, integrations, security, performance optimization, and system administration.
    • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), CMMS, maintenance, inventory, procurement, and asset lifecycle management processes.
    • Experience leading large-scale system implementations, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and enterprise data management practices.
    • Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


    Preferred Skills

    • Prior experience working on federal contracts.
    • IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Maximo Application Suite.
    • IBM Certified Administrator - Maximo Manage.
    • Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and cloud-native architectures.
    • Experience with IBM WebSphere, Linux, and enterprise middleware platforms.
    • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
    • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or other tools.
