Summary
You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the COMMANDER, NAVY REGION SOUTHEAST of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.

Help
  • You will review design drawings and evaluate analytical engineering reports to determine corrective actions and provide guidance.
  • You will conduct inspections of real property assets and develop written detailed analysis of facilities' conditions.
  • You will document facility deficiencies and initiate corrective repair action.
  • You will develop graphs, charts, and other visual aid presentation aids covering program performance, fund utilization, and budgetary requirements.
  • You will utilize mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facility projects.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in Facility Management administration and extensive knowledge of engineering principles pertaining to the operation, design, construction, sustainment, restoration and modernization of real property aboard a Naval installation. 2) Produce designs, plans, and specifications for facility projects. 3) Use Automated Design Technology and Computer Aided Design and Drafting software/ equipment. 4) Clearly and effectively articulating, presenting, and promoting varied ideas and issues before a wide range of audiences; 5) Documenting facility deficiencies and initiating corrective repair action
