CivicScience Internships
CivicScience Internships are designed to introduce students to the world of market intelligence, advertising, and media. We are currently seeing undergrad and graduate students for our 2026 summer program. Join us and partner with a business leader for:
  • 8-12 weeks, up to 20 hours per week (flexibility based on department/role, student needs, and program requirements)
  • educational opportunities, including training on human resources, branding & communications, research, data analysis, and components of our tech stack
  • project deliverables that may include written documentation, presentations (group and/or individual), and other components that meet academic standards, allowing students to earn college-level credit(s)

Overview
CivicScience is seeking People Operations Interns to partner with a business leader while earning college-level credit(s) at the advanced undergraduate or graduate level.
As a member of our People team, you may have the opportunity to:
  • Brainstorm creative ideas for Employee Resource Group programming
  • Draft content for internal communications
  • Support the upcoming transition of the CivicScience intranet to a new platform
  • Research innovative and responsible ways to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into workflows and internal platforms
  • Draft job descriptions for critical roles
  • Influence and update new hire policies and procedures
  • Contribute to training, learning, and development tools for new hire onboarding

Qualifications & Experience
  • Knowledge of human resources best practices and communications principles
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Excellent written communication, including impeccable grammar
  • Eligibility to receive college credits for this unpaid internship
  • Education in human resources, communications, or business programs (preferred)
This is a remote (work from home) role for a US-based undergraduate or graduate student to partner with CivicScience's Director, People Operations. Time commitment is approximately 20 hours per week for 8-10 weeks (flexible). Preference given to candidates in the greater Pittsburgh region.
