Kapwing is looking for a skilled YouTube video creator to take strategic ownership of our YouTube channel.ย 

The @Kapwing YouTube channel has over 200,000 subscribers and reaches a diverse global audience of creators, from social media teams and students to marketing professionals and businesses. Weโ€™re looking to bring on a talented Content Strategist to lead the channelโ€™s next phase of creative direction.

Our mission on YouTube is to empower modern storytellers through videos that are educational, inspiring, and entertaining.

Youโ€™ll plan, produce, and star in videos that teach modern video editing skills, explore trends, and solve real problems for creators. Youโ€™ll also experiment with new growth strategies to grow the channel, collaborate with other creators, and report on the business impact of our YouTube content.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Head of Content. The position is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule of two days in the office and three days remote each week. We are also open to fully remote candidates based in New York.

Responsibilities
  • Create and publish 1โ€“3 high-quality full YouTube videos per week (tutorials, news, and edutainment)

  • Own the full production process: ideation, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing

  • Serve as an on-camera host and lead creator interviews

  • Optimize videos for growth through titles, thumbnails, SEO, and retention strategies

  • Collaborate with the content team and the CEO on content strategy, series

  • Identify and capitalize on viral trends, formats, and new video storytelling opportunities

  • Repurpose content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, landing pages)

  • Become a Kapwing product expert, collaborating with product managers to ensure our product remains best in clas
