About the Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for proactively generating new outbound sales opportunities from scratch within an assigned territory.

This is a high-activity, outbound-focused role where success is driven by consistent execution across calling, emailing, and targeted outreach. BDRs serve as the front line of our go-to-market strategy, identifying potential customers, qualifying needs, and creating high-quality opportunities for Account Executives.

💧 What You'll Do

  • Prospect into assigned accounts and territories through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and targeted campaigns to generate qualified pipeline.

  • Engage prospective customers, identify business needs and challenges, and conduct discovery conversations to assess solution fit.

  • Convert leads into qualified meetings, demos, and sales opportunities through consistent follow-up and relationship building.

  • Own and manage a defined territory, prioritizing accounts and maintaining accurate activity and pipeline data in Salesforce.

  • Track performance against key metrics and continuously refine your outreach strategy to improve results.

  • Partner closely with Account Executives to advance opportunities and ensure a smooth handoff process.

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to improve messaging, targeting, and overall go-to-market effectiveness.

💧 What You Bring

  • 1+ years of experience in a BDR, SDR, Inside Sales, or similar outbound sales role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Experience in B2B and/or SaaS environment.

  • Proven success generating pipeline and achieving activity or opportunity targets.

  • Strong prospecting, discovery, and customer engagement skills.

  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills.

Note: For candidates based in Canada, the target base salary range for this position is between CAD $75,000 and CAD $90,000 annually

The compensation range for this role is $30.00 - $35.00 USD per hour.This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.

💧 Votre profil

  • Plus d'un an d'experience en tant que BDR, SDR, Inside Sales ou dans une fonction similaire de prospection commerciale.

  • Diplome universitaire en commerce, sciences de l'environnement ou domaine connexe apprecie.

  • Experience dans un environnement B2B et/ou SaaS.

  • Experience demontree dans la generation de pipeline et l'atteinte d'objectifs d'activite ou d'opportunites commerciales.

  • Excellentes competences en prospection, decouverte des besoins et engagement client.

  • Experience avec les systemes CRM, idealement Salesforce.

Pour les candidats bases au Canada, la remuneration de base cible pour ce poste se situe entre 75000 CAD et 90000 CAD par an. La remuneration finale sera determinee en fonction de plusieurs facteurs, notamment l'experience, les competences, les qualifications et la localisation geographique du candidat.
