We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Counsel! This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Counsel. In this role, the successful teammate will support all departments and affiliated Ivy Rehab Network entities, with a particular emphasis on corporate, regulatory, transaction and complex contract matters. This role will be a part of a fast-paced, results driven environment that fosters employee growth and career development.

Job Description:

What you will need

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate and transactional health law.

  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

  • Knowledge of, and experience with, relevant state and federal healthcare law and regulations, including anti-kickback and self-referral laws, licensing and reimbursement, and similar healthcare specific laws and regulations.

  • Strong leadership skills which include; Visionary, Results Oriented, Talent Development Building Capabilities, Teamwork, Understanding One's Business Economic Engine, Leading Change and Strategic Orientation.

  • Effective project management skills.

  • Experience with financing and investment transactions, private equity and similar for profit healthcare entities and transactions is a plus.

  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing from one to another without loss of composure or efficiency.

  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work in afast-pacedenvironment while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Self-motivated with the willingness to exceed expectations, learn and grow.

  • Exceptional written and verbalcommunication and research skills.

  • Outstanding time management and ability to multi-task.

What you will do

  • Assist Ivy Rehab Network and its affiliated entities in corporate and transactional matters and the review and negotiation of both routine and complex contract matters. This may include such issues as legal research, legal advice, and the drafting negotiating of corporate contracts and organizational documents.

  • Reviews, revises and counsels with respect to legal implication of rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Prepares, negotiates, drafts and reviews complex contracts and legal documents as needed.

  • Participates in the preparation and provision of educational programs on pertinent topics for Ivy Rehab teammates.

  • Reviews applicable legislation and case law as necessary to support General Counsel.

  • Participates in Ivy Rehab committees and working groups, as appropriate.

  • Must be able to accept responsibility for, and direction of, a project and work independently.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
