Job Description

As a Software Engineer II, you will take on complex engineering responsibilities -owning features, contributing to design decisions, and mentoring earlycareer engineers. You will operate within an agile team and build productionready systems with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and cloudnative development.
What you'll do
  • Design, develop, and maintain highquality software applications that meet user story requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Own mediumsized features from design through production release, independently breaking down work.

  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and endtoend tests; contribute to the ongoing improvement of CI/CD pipelines.

  • Build reliable, scalable cloudnative services using AWS services, following best practices in security and observability.

  • Implement mobile and/or crossplatform application features using Dart and Flutter, delivering performant and maintainable UI and business logic.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; participate in oncall rotations if applicable.

  • Provide technical guidance to Software Engineer I team members; conduct code reviews and share engineering best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevOps partners in an agile environment.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute insights to help evolve our architecture and engineering practices.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field; or a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field with no degree.

  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.

  • Strong, handson AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, SNS/SQS, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, serverless frameworks, or similar).

  • Proficiency in at least one backend or fullstack language (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python or similar).

  • Experience building RESTful APIs, services, or distributed systems.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles: objectoriented design, test automation, CI/CD, debugging, and performance considerations.

  • Experience working in agile environments and contributing to design discussions.

  • Atlanta based Candidates Only - In Office 2 days a week required.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience designing scalable, cloudnative architectures or serverless applications.

  • Familiarity with container services (Docker, ECS, EKS) or infrastructureascode (Terraform/CDK).

  • Professional experience coding with Dart and Flutter (mobile, crossplatform, or internal tooling).

  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with mobile deployment pipelines (e.g., Firebase App Distribution, TestFlight).

  • Exposure to AIassisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, etc.), especially in production or experimentation contexts.

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading small development initiatives.
