Position Summary
  • Provides overall coordination of research activities in the Paustian IBD Center Mannon research lab and clinical research unit
  • Manages and conducts research activities for the Paustian IBD Center Mannon research lab which may include experimental design and execution, sample handling (collecting, processing, biobanking), data analysis/interpretation and ordering maintenance of laboratory supplies/equipment.
  • Manages and provides oversight to collection, storage and annotation of the Paustian IBD Center Biobank.
  • Responsible for assisting with developing protocols and regulatory documents in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, to include supervision of laboratory personnel and laboratory budget responsibilities.
  • Responsible for chemical and equipment inventory, maintaining safety and inventory logs, interfacing with UNMC and VA research safety staff, providing annual reports of lab safety, chemical and equipment tracking.
