  • Communicate corrections and data gaps to marketing and publishing stakeholders.

Comp Strategy & Title Positioning
  • Manage and maintain comp title processes, including:
    • Setting seasonal comp deadlines and publisher schedules
    • Creating and maintaining comp mapping (in-house vs. external comps)
  • Run and distribute historical sales reports (Cognos / Bookscan) to inform comp selection.
  • Partner with publishers to refine comp choices and improve positioning accuracy.

Sales Reporting & Insights
  • Generate and distribute recurring reporting, including:
    • Books published in the last 24 months
    • NYP (Not Yet Published) BOS reporting
    • Bestseller and POS performance summaries
  • Deliver curated insights to sales teams to support seasonal selling and promotions.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from sales leadership and reps.

Backlist & Category Development
  • Maintain and update key backlist tools, including:
    • Indie bestseller backlists
    • Seasonal/category lists (Holiday, African American Interest, LGBTQ+, Spanish Language, etc.)
  • Integrate Bookscan rankings and performance indicators into backlist materials.
  • Support Edelweiss migrations and merchandising-ready lists.

Operational Project Management
  • Own recurring operational workflows, including:
    • Inventory Disposition tracking and reporting (remainders, hurts, donations)
    • Process Vendor Invoices
    • Admin of Departmental policies and communications
    • Seasonal calendars and deliverable timelines
  • Build and maintain internal tools and trackers to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Ensure deadlines across stakeholders are met and clearly communicated.

  • Provide analytical support for decision-making and business planning.

What You'll Bring:
Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and strong decision making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred:
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Cognos)
