About this team:

The Budgeting & Pacing team is responsible for controlling delivery precisely and reliably for budgets for all customers in the Magnite ecosystem. Through a combination of near-real-time data pipelines, machine learning techniques, and real-time controls at adserving time, we optimize delivery outcomes for our customers.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with multiple engineering and product teams to lead features, designing and delivering pragmatic solutions for real business needs.

  • Help design, architect, and build modernized, scaled infrastructure to power more sophisticated budgeting & pacing product offerings.

  • Apply analytics thinking and a data-driven mindset to influence both technical and product decisions.

  • Write and maintain high quality, high performance production-ready code along with robust observability with our core technology stack, including Java, AWS, Databricks, Docker.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering.

  • Proficiency building and maintaining production systems in Java.

  • Experience designing and optimizing distributed systems for high throughput, low latency, and high availability and reliability.

  • Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and managing database schemas.

  • Familiarity with Advertising Technology challenges and solutions is a strong plus.

  • An eagerness to learn, and improve the system continuously.

  • A strong sense of responsibility and willingness to own the entire software development lifecycle from inception to deployment.

The base salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $135,000 - $175,000 per year.

Only candidates in the following states will be eligible for employment: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, MI, MT, NE, NJ, NY, NC, OK, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA.

The starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable to their location. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.
