In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will:

• Maintain a manageable caseload of clients, establishing rapport and building strong therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethical standards.
• Conduct frequent sessions with clients to evaluate their progress, discussing current stability, upcoming appointments, and appropriate discharge planning when ready.
• Develop and implement individualized, person-centered treatment plans, incorporating measurable objectives to track client progress over time.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes diligently to maintain comprehensive and accurate records.
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of potential clients, thoroughly exploring their histories and specific concerns.
• Engage in weekly individual therapy sessions with clients, adapting techniques and strategies to meet their evolving needs.
• Participate in regular individual supervision to ensure continued professional growth and adherence to ethical practices.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, sharing insights and strategies to enhance client care.
• Embrace a growth mindset, remaining open to feedback and new ideas within your professional practice.

Your practice will primarily focus on youth and young adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. As part of our commitment to comprehensive care, you will play a critical role in promoting resilience and coping strategies in this vulnerable demographic, ensuring they feel heard, understood, and empowered.

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Massachusetts.
• A demonstrated ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in clinical settings.
• At least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients or individuals with substance use issues.
• Experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and provision of both individual and group therapy.
• Proficient computer skills with basic keyboarding abilities; familiarity with electronic health record systems is an asset.

Preferred candidates will have experience in working with a diverse client population, demonstrating cultural competence and flexibility in therapeutic approaches. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development will be strongly regarded.
