The Role:

Summary / Primary Role:

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Account Manager to join our Liquid Bulk Logistics account management team, supporting our Bulk Managed Services and Tank Intermodal offerings. In this role, you'll be responsible for retaining and growing relationships with strategic liquid bulk accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and positioning cross-sell opportunities across Odyssey's full portfolio of services.

What You’ll Do:

We're looking for a relationship-driven account manager who can retain and grow strategic liquid bulk accounts while identifying opportunities across Odyssey's broader portfolio of services.

  • Account Management & Client Relationships
    • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned Bulk Managed Services and Tank Intermodal accounts, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
    • Build strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders — particularly supply chain, procurement, and operations contacts — involved in liquid bulk shipping decisions.
  • Account Growth & Cross-Sell Strategy
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling Odyssey's broader portfolio (Intermodal, Trucking/Brokerage, Warehousing, and Technology Services) to enhance client value and drive profitability.
    • Analyze liquid bulk market trends and client data to identify retention and expansion opportunities, and develop strategic account plans that strengthen retention, expand wallet share, and grow revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Advocacy
    • Collaborate with the Director, Account Management, Operations, and Sales to develop and execute account plans that meet client requirements.
    • Address client issues promptly and advocate for client needs internally, ensuring feedback informs service improvements.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
    • Track and analyze account performance metrics, providing regular updates on retention, expansion, and cross-sell performance to leadership.
    • Ensure accurate, timely entry of account-related information in Salesforce, and represent Odyssey's liquid bulk capabilities in client meetings and presentations.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or customer service within bulk liquid logistics, chemicals, tank intermodal, or related supply chain industries
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a proven track record of growing client accounts and driving high levels of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and other MS Office tools
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and to proactively identify and resolve issues
