Matia

Job description

Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid) | Remote (USA)
About Matia
Matia is at the forefront of the DataOps revolution, building a unified platform that streamlines data management from end-to-end. We empower data teams with seamless ingestion, reverse ETL, comprehensive observability, and intuitive data cataloging, enabling faster, smarter decisions with significantly less tool sprawl. Backed by leading investors and trusted by data teams at companies like Ramp, Outsystems, Drata and Lemonade, we're building the future of data confidence.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Recruiting Lead to own full-cycle recruiting for all of Matia's US roles. This is an individual contributor role with significant influence. You'll be the first dedicated US recruiting hire, responsible for owning every hire from job req to close and building the recruiting infrastructure that scales with the company.
As Recruiting Lead, you'll own recruiting end-to-end and ensure every candidate, and every new hire, has a seamless experience from first interview to first day. You'll work closely with hiring managers across the company, partner with our IL Ops Manager on new-hire onboarding logistics and global hiring initiatives, and report directly to the VP of Operations. This is an opportunity to build Matia's US recruiting function from the ground up and grow with the company.
What You'll Do
  • End-to-End US Recruiting: Own the full hiring cycle for all US roles - job req review, sourcing, resume screening, candidate interviews, and close. Run structured, fast-moving processes that give every candidate a great impression of Matia.
  • Recruiting Operations: Manage Matia's ATS (Ashby), maintain job postings across channels, coordinate interview loops, and keep hiring teams aligned and on pace.
  • New-Hire Experience: Coordinate new-hire logistics so every hire has a seamless handoff from offer to first days, partnering with our IL Ops Manager on onboarding.
  • Hiring Partner: Be the go-to resource for hiring managers and candidates on process and timeline. Partner with the IL Ops Manager as counterparts on global hiring initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a builder who has owned full-cycle recruiting at an early-stage or high-growth company and can hit the ground running without a playbook. You get things done.
Must-Haves
  • Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 2+ years at a startup or high-growth tech company
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Hands-on experience owning the entire recruiting process end-to-end: sourcing through offer and close. Not just sourcing or screening.
  • IC Mindset: Comfortable operating as the only dedicated US recruiter, building process from scratch, and managing multiple open roles at once.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communicator. Candidates will form their first impression of Matia through you.

Nice-to-Haves
  • People Ops Exposure: Experience with US onboarding, offboarding, or employment compliance is a plus, though not the primary focus of this role
  • Data/SaaS Background: Experience at a data tools, ETL, or B2B SaaS company
  • Tools: LinkedIn Recruiter and/or Ashby (ATS) experience; Rippling (HRIS/payroll) familiarity a plus

How to Apply
Does this role sound like a good fit for you? We encourage you to apply directly through our website.
This role requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Matia Inc is an equal opportunity employer. We provide employment opportunities without regard to age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other protected status in accordance with applicable law.
