About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Multimedia Localization Specialist to support the adaptation of digital learning and multimedia content for global audiences. This role focuses on localizing complex multimedia assets while maintaining instructional clarity, timing accuracy, and production quality across multiple languages.

This is a fully remote global position, and candidates from anywhere in the world are welcome to apply.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Localize multimedia content including e-learning courses, training modules, videos, and interactive assets.

  • Adapt and implement translations for on-screen text, subtitles, captions, and voice-over scripts.

  • Ensure synchronization of audio, subtitles, and visual elements across multiple languages.

  • Edit and adapt multimedia files while preserving instructional intent and user experience.

  • Troubleshoot timing, layout, and technical issues in multilingual multimedia outputs.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in multimedia localization.

  • Strong hands-on experience localising e-learning and digital learning content.

  • Proficiency in the following tools:

    • Articulate 360

    • Articulate Storyline

    • Adobe Premiere Pro

    • Adobe After Effects

    • Adobe FrameMaker

    • DaVinci Resolve

    • CaptionHub

    • Adobe Audition

  • Proven experience working with subtitles, captions, voice-over workflows, and on-screen text adaptation.

  • Strong understanding of timing, pacing, and synchronization in video and interactive content.

  • Ability to manage multiple localization projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with audio mixing, voice-over direction, or script adaptation.

  • Not ideal as a full time job or primary income source. Work availability fluctuates with project demand, making this better suited as a supplemental income stream. As a 1099 contractor, you won't receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement contributions, and hours are not guaranteed.
