Systems Administrator
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We're looking for a system administrator specializing in Linux-based systems to help us support a new client.
As a system administrator on our project, you'll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available while constantly looking for ways to improve it. You'll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You'll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in systems administration
• 5+ years of experience with systems administration on Linux operating systems
• Ability to support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers
• Ability to install hardware and software, perform systems upgrades, manage network accounts, and support network security, web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
• Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
• Ability to train staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitor hardware and software system configuration, and provide instruction on computers and applications
• TS/SCI clearance
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
• IAT Level II certification
• Linux certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
