# of Openings:  1 System Engineer II Purpose: * Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a System Engineer II in Virginia Beach,VA. * This position is to provide research and development, and engineering efforts to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck (NSWCDD) initiatives. Job Description: * Provide support to develop and maintain engineering, technical, and configuration documentation for technical data package (TDP) elements and change control documentation. * Control and monitor engineering drawings that are included within TDPs. * Maintain government approved drawing repositories * Updated engineering drawings per requests from manufactures, OEMs, and/or other government departments. * Updated and monitor drawings schedules to ensure milestones are met * Provide support in the development, tracking, and processing of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Problem Reports related to the SSDS MK 2 project Support. Qualifications: * Must have a Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school and at least 3 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems. * Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel). * Must be able to support on-site tasking at Dam Neck Annex Base Desired Qualifications: * Experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor, preferred. * Experience with Navy Data Environment (NDE), preferred. Security Requirements: * Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance and base access requirements. Travel Requirements: * Less than 10% * If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
