Job description

Member Business Financial Services, L.L.P. (MBFS), a credit union-owned company, is looking for a Credit Services Administrator (Remote).

The Credit Services Administrator will provide specialized credit operations and credit administration support to the AVP of Credit Services, Relationship Managers, Executive Leadership, and Credit/Portfolio Analyst teams, including review of underwriting submissions and consultative guidance on the application of credit policy and procedures. Responsible for the timely, thorough, and accurate review of underwriting submissions, ensuring alignment with servicing agreements, applicable regulations, and established credit policies, and providing consultative guidance to loan officers and internal partners regarding policy interpretation and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide consultation to all Lender clients, guiding them through the closing process, ensuring the Lender is in compliance with their policy and government regulations, offering assistance with any needed due diligence expertise. This can include, but is not limited to:
  • Review loan request packages for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with established credit policies, procedures, and servicing requirements prior to underwriting and credit review.
  • Consult with loan officers, Relationship Managers and Executive Leadership regarding the application and interpretation of credit policy, documentation standards, and underwriting requirements, providing guidance to resolve questions and address deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete commercial loan data in nCino, including tracking, updating, and entering detailed loan transactions as needed.
  • Serve as a primary liaison among the AVP of Credit Services, Relationship Managers, executive leadership, and Credit/Portfolio Analysts to coordinate underwriting workflows and manage credit review timelines and expectations.
  • Assign and communicate estimated completion timelines for credit underwrites and loan reviews in coordination with Credit Services leadership and credit staff.
  • Act as a resource for credit process standards, system usage, and documentation requirements, supporting consistent application across credit teams.
  • Monitor and assist with the clearing of outstanding covenant and reporting items related to the credit team's function to support accurate tracking and compliance with loan terms.
  • Perform quality and consistency reviews of Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) work completed by Credit and Portfolio Analysts to identify omissions, inconsistencies, or documentation gaps and coordinate appropriate follow.
  • Clear outstanding items on covenant reports for accurate tracking.
  • Verify quality, completeness and accuracy of supporting loan documentation and analyses.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations impacting commercial lending and loan servicing, and apply that knowledge when reviewing documentation and advising internal partners and external loan officers.
  • Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained in accordance with the company's Clean Desk Policy.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • Thorough understanding of credit policy, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory/compliance requirements in commercial lending preferred.
  • Proficiency with nCino/Salesforce platforms for tracking, modeling, and documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative and works well independently.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple loans, deadlines, and conditions simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service orientation, balancing member experience with sound risk management.
