What you'll do:
The Production Support Technician will be responsible for providing production support . Analyzes, troubleshoots and documents issues and processes. Communicates and coordinates incident response with other support staff as required. Performs all duties in accordance with all company guidelines and applicable federal, state and local regulations wherein the company operates.
The target pay range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000.
  • Monitors nightly software data load processes using server management tools and email.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots nightly process errors and failure notices using server management and software development tools and other software utilities.
  • Logs and assigns incidents in the Service Desk product, and records incident fixes and other incident analysis.
  • Communicates with internal tier 2 support staff and outside vendor support staff as necessary to address production issues and coordinate efforts.
  • Documents processes and production jobs in Service Desk, Sharepoint and elsewhere with a goal toward establishing a knowledge base for general understanding by all support staff.
  • Performs process development work and process enhancements.
  • Analyzes process performance, identifies process improvement opportunities and performs performance tuning on systems and processes to improve overall ETL performance.
  • Monitors server health and performance during off hour periods including, but not limit to; Citrix, E-Mail, FTP, Storage Utilization, network uptime, security, and other performance/capacity metrics.

What you'll need:
  • Must be able to work Midnight to late morning shift.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including occasional additional days if necessary.
  • Knowledge of enterprise solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (2008+), Microsoft Reporting Services or Microsoft Analysis Services
  • Experience using enterprise ETL applications such as Microsoft SSIS
  • Microsoft Windows Server (2008+)
  • Knowledge of SFTP
  • Microsoft Exchange (2010+)
  • Knowledge of change management
  • Technical or associates degree or similar certification or working towards completion of such.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience with IT departmental support or development
  • 1 - 2 years' experience with SQL Server Integration Tools (SSIS) preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database administration preferred.
  • SQL Server and Windows Server certifications preferred
