A leading video, audio, and voice technologies company Infrastructural Automation Engineer to support infrastructure automation, systems management integration, security tooling deployment, CI/CD development, and virtualization platform migration initiatives.
Infrastructural Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure automation templates using VMware Aria Automation, Terraform, and Ansible for Windows, Linux, and Intel-based macOS environments, including AWS SSM and SentinelOne integration.
  • Design, build, and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines for provisioning, validation, testing, deployment, and environment promotion, utilizing GitLab, Artifactory, and established software development practices.
  • Partner with Security teams to implement agent deployment standards, exclusion processes, token governance, and secure automation workflows.
  • Develop and support VMware-to-Proxmox migration tooling, including VM assessment, conversion automation, post-migration validation, SSM and SentinelOne re-registration, and migration runbook creation.
  • Support Proxmox platform readiness through capacity planning, provisioning automation, infrastructure validation, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.

Infrastructural Automation Engineer Qualifications:
  • Experience with VMware Aria Automation/vRealize Automation 8.x, including Cloud Assembly, ABX, or vRO.
  • Terraform experience, including HCL, modules, state management, and vSphere, AWS, and Proxmox providers.
  • Experience developing Ansible playbooks and roles for system configuration, automation, and migration activities.
  • Experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM), including agent deployment, hybrid activations, and IAM integration.
  • Experience deploying and managing SentinelOne agents across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Experience administering Proxmox VE, including virtual machine management, storage, and networking.
  • Experience with VMware-to-KVM/Proxmox migrations using tools such as virt-v2v, qemu-img, or similar technologies.
  • Experience automating configuration and agent deployment on Intel-based macOS systems.
  • GitLab and GitLab CI/CD experience, including repository management, branching strategies, merge requests, and multi-stage deployment pipelines.
  • Experience integrating JFrog Artifactory into CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience utilizing 1Password Vaults or similar solutions for secret management.
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Packer for VMware or Proxmox template creation is preferred.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager is preferred.
  • Experience in security-regulated environments (SOC 2, FedRAMP, or similar) is preferred.
  • Experience performing large-scale VMware-to-Proxmox or VMware-to-KVM migrations is preferred.
  • Experience with GitLab Environments and deployment tracking is preferred.
  • Experience integrating infrastructure automation with ITSM platforms, such as ServiceNow, is preferred.

Shift:
  • Required to be available during US business hours with a reliable overlap for team collaboration.
