The role

Quanata is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team dedicated to managing and supporting enterprise-level IT systems. This role involves implementing, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and agility across the organization. We are committed to a customer-first approach and delivering world-class service to empower our workforce.

Your day-to-day
  1. Drive the successful execution of Enterprise projects, utilizing strong project management capabilities to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, along with proactive risk management.
  2. Administer and maintain the Enterprise network and VPN infrastructure.
  3. Develop and implement automated solutions to replace manual operational tasks.
  4. Contribute specialized technical knowledge to organization-wide initiatives, solving complex problems with creative and effective strategies.
  5. Partner with diverse stakeholders to verify that Enterprise applications comply with established standards and security protocols.
  6. Create, document, and maintain clear team processes and workflows to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  7. Participate in an on-call rotation.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience OR equivalent relevant experience and;
  • 6 - 8 years of relevant experience to include:
    • Networking and VPN experience
    • Automation through scripting or IaC frameworks
    • Enterprise application integrations
      • SSO
      • SAML
      • OIDC
    • MDM software experience
    • Identity, access and authentication management
    • Developing and implementing internal IT Systems, policies and procedures
Bonus points
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Bash).

Salary: $165,000 to $195,000*

*Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Quanata. Our aim is to offer a competitive and equitable compensation package that reflects the candidate's expertise and contributions to our organization.

  • Paid Time Off: All employees accrue four weeks of PTO in their first year of employment. New parents receive twelve weeks of fully paid parental leave which may be taken within one year after the birth and/or adoption of a child. The twelve weeks is applicable to both birthing and non-birthing parent.

  • Location: We are a remote-first company for most positions so you may work from anywhere you like in the U.S, excluding U.S. territories. For most positions, occasional travel may be requested or encouraged but is not required. Some positions might require travel per the job description provided to the employee. Employees based in the San Francisco Bay Area or in Providence, Rhode Island may commute to one of our local offices as desired.
  • Hours: We maintain core meeting hours from 9AM - 2PM Pacific time for collaborating with team members across all time zones.
