Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Python ETL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of IT experience, with strong expertise in Python-based ETL/Data Pipeline development and a solid background in data warehousing, cloud databases, and scheduling tools. This role involves building, optimizing, and maintaining ETL pipelines while ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into Data Warehouses/Data Marts.
  • Work across all phases of the development lifecycle: design, coding, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Apply data warehousing concepts including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Facts, Dimensions, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate requirements, design solutions, and provide technical feedback.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Conduct technical validations and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Ensure code quality and consistency through effective collaboration and best practices.

Core Skills & Requirements
  • 8-10 years of IT experience with a focus on ETL/Data Pipeline development.
  • Strong expertise in Python development.
  • Experience with IDE tools (Preferred: Visual Studio Code).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Preferred: GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in code management tools (Preferred: GitHub).
  • Strong working knowledge of cloud databases (Preferred: Snowflake).
  • Experience with scheduling tools (Preferred: Control-M).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have
  • Prior experience working in Agile environments.
  • Exposure to additional cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
