This position will provide dedicated onsite technology support within a professional New York City office environment.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical assistance to executives and employees. This is a fully onsite position requiring a polished, customer-focused professional who can independently troubleshoot end-user technology issues and maintain smooth daily IT operations.

The successful candidate will support Windows computers, Microsoft 365 applications, mobile devices, user accounts, conference room technology, and office hardware. This individual will also manage incidents through ServiceNow, assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, and maintain accurate technology asset records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite desktop support to executives, employees, and visiting personnel.
  • Resolve technical issues involving Windows computers, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Record, prioritize, and manage incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.
  • Perform user account administration, password resets, permissions updates, and access support through Active Directory.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune.
  • Prepare laptops, mobile devices, monitors, accessories, and user accounts for incoming employees.
  • Coordinate offboarding activities, including disabling access and recovering assigned equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for laptops, mobile devices, accessories, and other IT assets.
  • Support iOS and Android devices used in the corporate environment.
  • Troubleshoot audiovisual equipment, conference room systems, video meetings, and presentation technology.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to infrastructure, security, or higher-level support teams.
  • Partner with remote IT colleagues to resolve issues and support broader organizational initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly with nontechnical users and provide timely updates throughout the support process.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation, support procedures, and knowledge resources.
  • Assist with the setup, movement, and organization of IT equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of desktop support, end-user computing, IT support, or related professional experience.
  • Previous experience providing in-person support within a corporate office environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering white-glove technical support to executives and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, Intune, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and equipment deployment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laptops, software applications, printers, monitors, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional presence with the ability to work directly with senior-level users.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests while appropriately prioritizing urgent support needs.
  • Comfortable lifting, transporting, and installing standard computer equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting conference room audiovisual systems and collaboration platforms.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft Desktop, or related technical certification.
  • Experience supporting employees across multiple U.S. offices.
  • Previous experience working within a small, collaborative technology team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related discipline.

Additional Details:

  • This position requires onsite attendance five days per week in Midtown Manhattan.
  • Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available.
  • The role is expected to begin on either August 10 or August 17, 2026.
  • This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
  • The interview process includes two rounds, both of which may be conducted virtually.
  • Candidates who are not currently working may be asked to attend an onsite interview.
  • The position works closely with a local support team and a manager based in another U.S. office.
