Solution Architect – Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) Administrator

Location: Atlanta, GA | Birmingham, AL (REMOTE)

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) Administrator to support the enterprise-wide ASCEND Program, a strategic initiative modernizing Customer Information Systems (CIS), Meter Data Management (MDM), and customer engagement platforms serving over 4.2 million electric customers.

This role is responsible for building, configuring, administering, and supporting Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) and Oracle WebLogic environments. The successful candidate will manage deployments, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support while collaborating with infrastructure, development, and operations teams. Following the September 2026 go-live, this position will provide hypercare and ongoing production support.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, configure, administer, and support Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) environments.

· Deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server (14c preferred).

· Configure Coherence Clusters, JMS, SSL, SSO, certificates, and keystores.

· Support C2M components including IWS, Batch, JMS Queues, and middleware services.

· Perform system upgrades, Oracle patching, migrations, and environment deployments.

· Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize enterprise applications.

· Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and rotating on-call activities.

· Work closely with infrastructure, application development, testing, release management, and security teams.

· Configure monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace or equivalent monitoring platforms.

· Develop automation scripts and support DevOps release processes.

· Create and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, runbooks, and operational procedures.

· Support code migrations across Development, QA, Test, and Production environments.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 10+ years of IT experience.

· 5+ years administering Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M) (Version 2.9 minimum, 25.4 preferred).

· Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic Server 14c (12c experience also acceptable).

· Hands-on experience with:

o Oracle C2M Administration

· Experience with PowerShell, automation, or DevOps release management.

· Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
