Requirement - Systems Administrator (VMWare / Hardware)

Location- USA Remote

Contract W2

This position is responsible for building, maintaining, securing, and supporting servers, applications, and infrastructure within 24/7 high-performance, highly secure data centers serving a globally distributed customer base. Reporting to IT Management, this role encompasses a broad range of technologies, including VMware as well as virtual and physical Microsoft Windows and Linux servers.
 
Responsibilities
 

  • Assist in the deployment, configuration, and management of VMware infrastructure including vSphere vCenter, clusters, hosts, and VCF (Automation and Operations).
  • Install, configure, and update ESXi hypervisor hosts.
  • Advanced skills in VM and Host performance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform basic Fiber Channel provisioning and troubleshooting primarily for VMware ESXi hosts.
  • Update firmware and drivers on Cisco UCS Equipment and validate hardware compatibility.  Cisco Intersight experience is a plus.
  • Help implement infrastructure and hardware system installations.
  • Basic network configuration (create port-channels, vlan adds, etc.) and troubleshooting skills.
  • Recommend, implement, and routinely test disaster recovery plans.  Zerto experience is a plus.
  • Regularly update change management systems with strict change documentation.
  • Open vendor support requests to resolve periodic hardware issues.
  • Possess sound knowledge and working experience with ticketing/tracking systems.
  • Respond to outages during business and after-hours.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and experience managing complex systems.
  • Communicate effectively with both senior and junior team members regarding issues and troubleshooting.
