Position Overview

Foresight Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. We are looking for an individual who embodies compassion and cultural competence, while being eager to facilitate transformative mental health services in a community health clinic. Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in how and where you support our patients. You will work within a dynamic team of mental health professionals that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs, especially for those who may require evening or weekend sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique cultural and personal backgrounds of patients.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the specific needs of the patient.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address mental health concerns, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being through evidence-informed practices.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring that every patient receives the support they need.
  • Offer crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, acting swiftly to support individuals in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, encouraging empowerment and providing resources available within the community.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions for continuous professional growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health to ensure our therapy approaches are effective and relevant.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
  • A solid understanding of various mental health disorders, alongside diverse treatment strategies that are respectful of cultural differences.
  • Experience in delivering mental health therapy that is culturally responsive and demonstrates inclusivity.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention and the capability to provide immediate support and de-escalation during challenging situations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building rapport with individuals from varied backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and modern office software applications.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 โ€“ 100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
