Professionals use specialized software to process large datasets, extract features like terrain models or vegetation, and generate 2D or 3D representations of landscapes. This remote work setup allows teams to collaborate globally, efficiently process data for industries like mapping, forestry, and urban planning, and deliver results without being physically present at the survey site.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote lidar data processing?

To thrive as a Remote Lidar Data Processing Specialist, you need a solid background in geospatial sciences, data analysis, and remote sensing, often supported by a relevant degree such as geography, GIS, or engineering. Familiarity with specialized software like LAStools, ArcGIS, and Global Mapper, as well as experience with data formats such as LAS and point cloud processing, is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with team members. These skills and qualifications are important because they enable precise data interpretation, efficient workflow, and the delivery of high-quality geospatial products to clients.

What are some common challenges faced in remote lidar data processing, and how can they be overcome?

Job description

Lavendo partners with startups and high‑growth companies to help them hire top‑tier sales, GTM, and technical talent. This role is with one of our clients; we’ll share full details about the company and interview process as we get to know you and confirm mutual fit.

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing data privacy and AI company helping modern businesses build trust, reduce risk, and stay ahead of a rapidly changing regulatory landscape. Its platform supports data privacy governance, data security and protection, consent management, and GDPR/CCPA compliance for sophisticated organizations that take customer data seriously.

The Mission

Our client is building its product for a world where privacy is no longer optional — it is a business imperative. This team helps leading organizations protect customer data, meet evolving compliance requirements, and create stronger, more responsible digital experiences.

The Opportunity

This is a strong next-step role for an AE who has already shown they can sell SaaS and is ready for bigger opportunities, more ownership, and faster growth. You’ll manage full-cycle sales, build pipeline through outbound effort, and sell into complex organizations where the stakes and learning curve are both high.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to win new customers.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quotas, targets, and KPIs.

  • Conduct product demos and clearly communicate value to senior decision-makers, especially CIOs and CISOs.

  • Partner with BDRs to qualify opportunities and build a robust pipeline.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline updates and forecasts.

What You Bring
  • At least 2+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS AE experience with a proven track record of quota attainment.

  • Ability to self-generate new business and build pipeline through consistent outbound activity.

  • Experience selling complex technical SaaS in a consultative, solution-oriented way.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, plus a professional LinkedIn presence.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a U.S. institution.

  • Ability and willingness to travel once per month to the company’s office.

  • Bonus: experience selling complex technical SaaS to CIOs, CISOs, and other senior technology or privacy leaders, plus familiarity with data privacy or cybersecurity.

Key Success Drivers
  • High ethical standards, honesty, and transparency in how you sell and how you work.

  • Strong self-discipline and self-motivation — you do not need constant supervision to perform at a high level.

  • Hungry, energetic, and driven to win — you bring a hunter mentality to build your own pipeline and close business.

  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting quickly in a fast-moving startup environment.

  • Coachable, low-ego, and collaborative, with the confidence to contribute and the maturity to take feedback.

  • Comfortable working with team members from diverse backgrounds and contributing to an inclusive culture.

Why Join?
  • Competitive OTE in the $120,000–$160,000+ range, with an uncapped commission potential (top performers going higher and regularly outpace their targets)

  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision for employees — gold plan with zero out-of-pocket costs

  • 401(k), life insurance, tuition reimbursement

  • 2 weeks of paid vacation

  • Generous President’s Club awards and company-paid events, celebrations, dinners

Employer Highlights
  • Profitable and bootstrapped — no VC pressure, sustainable growth

  • Fortune 100 client base with patented AI technology

  • No territory limits — sell wherever you find opportunity

  • Sales-first culture with direct mentorship from the founder

Interviewing Process (~2 weeks)
  • Phone Interview with the Hiring Manager (General Fit)

  • Video Interview with the Hiring Manager (Skills Assessment)

  • Reference and background checks

  • Offer extended to successful candidates

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Compensation Range: $120K - $160K
