In this rewarding role, you will be tasked with providing comprehensive mental health care to children, adolescents, and families, ensuring each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of your clients. You will leverage your clinical expertise to create impactful treatment plans while contributing to a supportive and collaborative team environment.

About the Organization

At Vision in Mind Counseling Center, our mission is to expand access to high-quality mental health services. We believe in fostering an environment where therapy can be both enjoyable and effective, embracing values such as authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination. Our center is committed to ensuring that mental health care is available to all members of our community, and we pride ourselves on building a diverse team that reflects the backgrounds and experiences of our clients.

Work Environment

This remote position allows you to maintain a flexible work-life balance while still being an integral part of a dynamic community health clinic. You will collaborate virtually with a diverse group of professionals who are equally passionate about mental health services. Our organization values creativity in interventions, aiming to exceed client expectations and reach meaningful outcomes. You will have the freedom to design your therapeutic approach while adhering to company policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to diagnose conditions and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect clients' unique circumstances and objectives.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 27 client visits per week as a full-time therapist, ensuring timely follow-ups and documentation.
  • Utilize creative interventions, leveraging art, play therapy, or other modalities to facilitate client engagement and progress.
  • Document all clinical sessions meticulously, including assessments, treatment plan reviews, and case notes, in compliance with organizational guidelines.
  • Coordinate care with case managers, family members, educational staff, and other medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Participate actively in clinical staff meetings, trainings, and workshops to continually enhance your clinical skill set and provide valuable input toward team initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and innovation in treatment methodologies and client engagement strategies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele includes children, adolescents, and families facing a range of mental health challenges. As a therapist, you will encounter diverse cases—from behavioral issues and anxiety to depression and trauma-related conditions. We are particularly committed to serving underrepresented communities, and we actively encourage applications from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and bilingual individuals to enrich our team and meet the needs of our diverse patient base.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Active LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Proven experience in clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and case notes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to clients and their families.
  • A strong understanding of ethical boundaries and professionalism when interacting with clients.
  • Experience working with a diverse range of clients and comfort in applying culturally sensitive therapeutic approaches.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Electronic Health Records systems; familiarity with Valant is a plus.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state regulations.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated success in individual, family, and group therapy settings.
  • Experience utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver therapy services.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic frameworks pertinent to family therapy.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 105,000, with additional earning potential through a structured commission based on client sessions.
  • Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
  • Comprehensive professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and expand your expertise.
  • Flexible scheduling that promotes work-life balance.
  • Paid time off for holidays, including special recognition on your birthday.
  • Access to a Continuing Education Library to support your ongoing learning.
  • Additional compensation for administrative tasks, ensuring you are recognized for all facets of your work.
