Position Overview

Mind Nurturing Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive clinical treatment programs customized for individuals with acute or chronic mental health conditions, taking into consideration a multi-disciplinary approach.
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities.
  • Conduct psychoeducational classes and support groups to foster greater understanding and resilience among clients and their families.
  • Supervise and guide Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, when appropriate, to ensure best practices in care.
  • Assist patients and their families in understanding treatment plans and support adherence to prescribed therapeutic regimens.
  • Document and maintain accurate and confidential client records, including intake summaries, treatment plans, and progress notes, in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to connect clients with additional resources and support, enhancing the network of care available.
  • Participate in team meetings to evaluate treatment programs and contribute to departmental program development.
  • Respond to safety concerns by reporting to appropriate mandated agencies as required.
  • Engage actively in maintaining professional competencies through ongoing training and participation in departmental activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse client population that includes individuals struggling with various mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. Our clients come from various backgrounds, each with unique life experiences and challenges. Your role is pivotal in creating a safe and welcoming environment where they can explore their feelings and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Must possess an active license in California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Proven track record of meeting compliance standards in providing mental health care, upholding patient privacy, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community health settings or outpatient facilities is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to streamline documentation.
