McGuireWoods is seeking a forward-thinking and technology-driven Business Resource Center (BRC) AI Specialist to support the firm’s continued investment in innovation and artificial intelligence solutions, including Harvey and Jigsaw. This role will serve as a key resource in integrating AI-powered tools into the BRC’s daily operations, document production workflows, and client service functions.

The BRC AI Specialist will partner closely with BRC leadership, legal operations, and the firm’s AI and Innovation team to identify opportunities for process improvement, implement AI-enhanced workflows, and support the responsible and effective use of AI technologies across the department. This position is ideal for a highly skilled document services or legal support professional who is passionate about emerging technology, process improvement, and operational excellence within a fast-paced legal environment.

AI Integration & Innovation

  • Support the implementation and optimization of AI platforms, including Harvey and Jigsaw, within BRC workflows and document production.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s AI and Innovation team to identify use cases, test technologies, and develop AI best practices.
  • Utilize AI tools and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, turnaround time, and workflow processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on AI-enabled workflows and technologies.

Document Services & Management

  • Create, revise, format, proofread, and convert complex legal and business documents using Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and related applications.
  • Generate and manage Tables of Contents, Tables of Authorities, templates, Blacklines, Bates numbering, bookmarks, hyperlinks, fillable forms, and PDF conversions.
  • Perform OCR processing, document comparison, scanning, clean-up, de-duplication, and quality control using traditional and AI-assisted tools.
  • Organize and maintain documents within e-Rooms, WorkSite, network drives, and other document management systems while adhering to confidentiality and security protocols.

Information Processing & Operational Support

  • Analyze, summarize, and process information within Excel, Relativity, Summation, and other legal technology platforms utilizing AI-assisted tools where appropriate.
  • Create presentations, flyers, reports, and marketing materials using AI-supported design and content generation tools.
  • Troubleshoot software, formatting, and workflow issues for firm personnel across multiple systems and applications.
  • Provide transcription, translation, and administrative support utilizing AI-enhanced technologies while ensuring quality and accuracy.

  • Prior experience in document services, legal support, litigation support, business resource centers, or legal operations within a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, document management systems, and legal technology applications.
  • Experience with or interest in AI platforms, workflow automation, and emerging legal technology strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Harvey, Jigsaw, Relativity, Deltaview/Redline, WorkSite, and transcription software is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving technology and operational processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong client service mindset.
