Job description

The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms serves as a subject matter expert on legal compliance content. The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms (1) conducts comprehensive legal research to develop, update, and quality-control compliance guides, training materials, e-course content, and other resources to provide strategic value to TRACE members; (2) manages TRACE's online Resource Center as lead platform administrator and lead content manager; and (3) manages TRACE's Partner Law Firm program.

The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms is an attorney possessing strong legal research and writing skills who remains current on substantive legal developments relevant to TRACE's mission, to enable TRACE to provide our member companies with insightful and timely compliance resources. The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms has strong communication, project management and customer service skills and represents TRACE in a professional manner.

The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms manages TRACE's online Resource Center, including serving as the lead administrator of the Tizra site, maintaining/updating existing resources and identifying and creating new resources (e.g. white papers, checklists, memes, presentations, webinar outlines, and other resources that support compliance training, etc.), responding to member inquiries, assisting with Resource Center demos and member engagement outreach and initiatives, and reporting analytics related to Resource Center usage.

The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms will support TRACE programming efforts to help to identify and maintain global partner law firm relationships and review and revise legal summaries contributed by Partner Law Firms, consultants, or other contributors.

The Specialist, Compliance Content & Partner Firms is a self-starter who welcomes a changing pace and subscribes to TRACE's commitment to excellence and the highest standards of service both internally and externally.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support TRACE presentations and publications
  • Develop legal content and provide quality assurance review for course outlines, course slides, training companions, compliance guides, newsletters, blog posts, white papers, essays, podcast content, webinar outlines, etc.
  • Serve as a compliance subject matter expert on topics relevant to TRACE
  • Manage TRACE's Resource Center, including lead administration of the Tizra platform, content lifecycle management, platform redesign, and analytics with the assessment of usage of Resource center materials
  • Manage Partner Law Firm program relationships and material collection
  • Proactively collaborate across teams to identify emerging compliance content needs and advise on strategic resource development
  • Proofread and edit external contributor blog submissions to TRACE standards
  • Assist with TRACE event programming (i.e. development of substantive agendas, identifying and inviting speakers, facilitating panel discussions, social media posts at events, leading webinars, etc.)
  • Support TRACE President with board-related matters
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, which may be modified to support business needs

Supervisory responsibilities

This position does not have regular supervisory responsibilities.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday during core business hours, and should be an 8-hour shift, plus any applicable lunch break. From time to time, employees may be required to work different hours to accommodate TRACE member companies located in different time zones.

Work environment

This job operates in a professional, indoor office environment (either based in TRACE's offices or, if approved, the employee's home office). The employee will typically work seated at a desk. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones and various computer-based programs/applications. Remote camera-based meetings may be required from time to time. The employee may occasionally be exposed to a variety of office temperatures and lighting settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.


Physical demands

The essential duties of this role require the employee to work in a typical inside, office setting, primarily seated at a desk, with the ability to use and control a computer, phone, and video equipment. The position will require the employee to have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other employees, customers, and vendors. The employee will frequently be required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee will occasionally be required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 - 10 lbs.
