Job Title: Business Development ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive and secure new business opportunities within the high-end residential construction market. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders and managing opportunities through the complete sales lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and secure new business opportunities within the high-end residential construction market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with homeowners, architects, designers, consultants, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to understand project scope, objectives, and client needs.
  • Manage opportunities through the complete sales lifecycle, from initial conversation through signed contracts and project handoff.
  • Lead clients through a design-build sales process, including pre-construction agreements and transition into full construction contracts.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, budgets, and contract-related materials in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting through CRM systems.
  • Track and document all client interactions, opportunity stages, and business development activity.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, estimating, and leadership teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed established business development goals and performance metrics.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or client relationship management experience within construction, architecture, design-build, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated success generating revenue and converting prospects into signed projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and contract structures.
  • Experience working within design-build environments and managing multi-stage sales processes, including pre-construction agreements.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities and maintain momentum across complex sales cycles.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems for pipeline management, reporting, and sales execution.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented with a sense of urgency and accountability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Established network within the NYC high-end residential, brownstone, luxury renovation, and landmark preservation markets preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as HubSpot and other AI tools used for daily sales operations.
  • Cold calling experience.
  • Familiarity with brownstone and landmark preservation projects.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with requirements to attend in-person networking, meetings, and site visits in NYC. The role offers a commission structure tied to personally originated leads and company-provided leads closed through pre-construction contracts. The firm is expanding into the design-build space, with minimum project sizes of $1M and average project sizes ranging from $1.5M to $3M+.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
