Inland Mental Health Psychological Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This unique opportunity allows qualified therapists to provide essential mental health services from the comfort of their home while making a significant impact on the lives of clients dealing with family and relationship challenges. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in modalities such as structural, strategic, systems, narrative, transgenerational, or communication therapy, with a focused interest in divorce and relationship counseling.

About the Organization

At Inland Mental Health Psychological Services, we prioritize holistic mental health care aimed at enhancing the well-being of individuals, couples, and families. Our outpatient facility is committed to providing quality therapy grounded in evidence-based practices. We value collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development, ensuring our therapists have the resources and support they need to thrive in their roles.

Work Environment

This full-time position is designed for remote work, allowing flexibility while ensuring ongoing engagement with clients through teletherapy platforms. Our team is composed of professionals dedicated to mutual support and collaborative treatment approaches, fostering an environment where every therapist can thrive. You will be equipped with the necessary technology to perform assessments, conduct therapy sessions, and maintain client records in a secure manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms and their impacts on family dynamics.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans with clearly defined goals in collaboration with clients, while adapting these strategies based on ongoing feedback and client progress.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address individual client needs effectively.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and encourage self-care strategies to foster resilience.
  • Continuously monitor and document client progress toward therapeutic goals, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to optimize their outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and research concerning mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to strengthen skills and clinical knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma associated with mental illness within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve span diverse backgrounds and circumstances, primarily focusing on individuals and families seeking support for relationship issues, mood disorders, and adjustment challenges. Clients may include couples navigating divorce, families dealing with conflict, and individuals managing anxiety or depression. Your insightful and tailored approach will be essential in guiding clients towards healthier relationships and improved mental health.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • A compassionate and nonjudgmental attitude, demonstrating empathy towards clients' experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a full caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in remote therapeutic practices utilizing video and telecommunication platforms.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities focused on family and relationship dynamics.
  • Prior knowledge or experience in supporting clients dealing with substance abuse would be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, retirement savings options, and health insurance.
  • Access to continuing education and professional development opportunities, specifically in addiction counseling and advanced therapeutic techniques.
  • A collegial, supportive atmosphere that promotes teamwork and collaborative learning.
