• Conduct thorough crisis assessments and implement interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
• Provide timely counseling services to clients in distress, ensuring they receive immediate support tailored to their needs.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency response personnel to guarantee the safety and well-being of clients.
• Develop and implement comprehensive follow-up care plans that offer continued support and connect clients to community resources.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who are struggling with substance misuse issues, as well as those experiencing a range of emotional crises including trauma, anxiety, and suicidal ideations. Your culturally sensitive and empathetic approach will be vital in building trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. You will play a critical role in helping them navigate their challenges and facilitating their journey towards mental wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution or university.
• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• At least three years of recent, relevant experience in providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care practices.
• Proven ability to deliver effective counseling services in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with distressed clients.
• Cultural humility with an understanding of how diverse experiences impact mental health.
• Skilled in conducting rapid assessments and creating personalized intervention plans that address client needs.
• Thorough knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to crisis counseling.

• Specialized training in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques, particularly regarding substance use disorders.
