Job description

Class Description CCBC is the college of choice for over 50,000 students and 200 businesses each year - all with unique goals, strengths and requirements. By offering a holistic learning environment that is both accepting and challenging, we meet students where they are and take them where they want to go. We offer the region's most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.

CCBC is seeking creative adjunct ESOL instructors to join our academic ESOL program that prepares students for future studies. We offer four levels of courses Monday through Friday in the morning, afternoon, and evening and plan to expand and offer Saturday classes. Our program has a theme-based integrated skills approach with some courses taught through OERs.

Adjunct instructors may teach up to 9 credits. Courses may be offered on four of our campuses: Essex, Catonsville, Owings Mills, and Dundalk. We also offer courses in multiple modalities: on-site, blended, online and remote synchronous.

Pay Level: 1,085.00 per credit hour Minimum Requirements Master's Degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or a related field. Two (2) years of experience teaching multilingual adult students in an adult basic education program, intensive language program, or accredited language school Experience teaching a ESOL program in a community college or university preferred Applicants need to possess strong instructional technology and learning management (LMS) skills Use of Brightspace is preferred.
