The Opportunity

The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop and manage the design of electrical infrastructure and related systems for complex data centers. Specific responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the ability to work with limited supervision in corporate, remote, and home offices, as well as project site locations. The Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player who possess and demonstrates effective communication and broad client service skills. As experience is further developed in the overall design and construction of data centers, the Engineer’s skills will be further utilized as a Subject Matter Expert across the organization.

What you will do?

  • Confer with engineers and design staff to implement customer design concepts
  • Review all applicable documentation to determine designs
  • Perform calculations for electrical distribution
  • Review documents, quotes, and drawings to create electrical designs
  • Revise drawings and designs based on change orders and client needs/requests
  • Review and respond to request for information from construction team
  • Review and respond to equipment submittals
  • Create conceptual designs from information gathered at client meetings
  • Size electrical equipment as required for project needs
  • Utilize NFPA and building codes in the design of electrical systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred
  • PE certification required
  • 6+ years in design, project planning, and construction
  • Design documentation experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
  • Experience with Electrical Systems (UPS, PDU, Generator, Switchgear)
  • Experience with Revit, and Procore
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, emphasis in electrical data center distribution systems
  • Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization
  • Knowledge of electrical process and building for mission critical/data center projects
