This field leverages cloud-based platforms, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and other digital tools to enable scientists and lab personnel to access and process laboratory information remotely. It enhances collaboration, increases efficiency, and maintains data integrity without requiring users to be physically present in the laboratory. Remote laboratory informatics is crucial for supporting virtual teams, global research projects, and continuity of laboratory operations during disruptions.
