The Role
We currently have an opening for a Business Development Manager, Alternative Channels in the Pacific Northwest territory. The Business Development Manager leads the development of business solutions with customers such as Transcold, Arya, Harbor Wholsale Foods, Big Bell, Polka Dot Dairy, and other distributors. The main goal is to generate more revenue for the company while also achieving profit and trade spend objectives. The BDM will manage both distributor and retail accounts across the small format channels while supporting the organizations branded & private label initiatives.

  • Distributor Management; to include both- direct store delivery and broadliner partners
  • Mobile Vending development and private label execution
  • Retail account development; Awareness of Customer Strategy and Performance; Knows customer policies and procedures
  • Apply Cat Man principles; Converts data to insights; Uses insights to influence customer behavior; Demonstrates category knowledge and performance drivers; Awareness of key Consumer and Shopper Insights

Qualifications
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years Account Selling experience with a CPG company required
  • Must live in the California market
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales by gaining new distribution in both region chains and independent customers
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).

The base pay range for this position is $115,295 to $162,013 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
