Position: SDS Specialist

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr. on W2

Location: Wilmington DE (On-Site)

Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)


This position is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels in accordance with GHS and global regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain SDS and product labeling in compliance with GHS and applicable regulations
  • Conduct hazard assessments and classifications for substances and mixtures
  • Develop and execute SQL scripts to manage chemical and regulatory data
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize databases and ensure data quality
  • Support major projects including SDS/label redevelopment for new technology initiatives and business changes (e.g., legal entity/branding updates)
  • Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to validate chemical composition data
  • Provide resource support for high-volume SDS & label projects


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical regulatory role within corporate or consulting environments
  • Strong knowledge of global Dangerous Goods regulations (DOT, IATA/ICAO, IMDG, ADR)
  • Expertise in GHS, hazard classification, and SDS/MSDS authoring
  • Working knowledge of SAP and regulatory systems such as UL WERCS
  • Proven SQL scripting skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
