Payroll Clerk

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Schedule: Remote

Pay Range: $18hr

About the Role

We’re supporting a Fortune 500 company in Costa Mesa, CA that’s looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join their corporate payroll team. This department ensures accurate, timely payroll processing for employees across the organization and compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

You’ll play a key role in reviewing and processing payroll data, auditing timesheets, and reconciling discrepancies to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and process payroll data from time sheets and employee records
  • Verify accuracy of hours worked, pay rates, and deductions
  • Perform payroll calculations, including taxes, insurance, and retirement deductions
  • Enter and update payroll information in Oracle and/or Ceridian systems
  • Reconcile payroll errors and maintain employee pay records
  • Prepare and submit reports of earnings, deductions, and taxes
  • Support payroll team with audits and reporting as needed

Qualifications
