Remote Phone Canvasser (Seasonal Temporary)


Position Overview: The Mobilization Center is seeking motivated, community-minded individuals to join our team as Remote Phone Canvassers for the 2026 fall election season. This is a seasonal, temporary position running from August 1st-November 5th.


Remote Phone Canvassers play a vital role in engaging Alaskans on key conservation, human rights, government, and democracy issues. Team members will conduct outreach calls to identify, educate, and activate voters in support of campaigns that protect Alaska's resources and promote the health and wellbeing of our communities.


This position is fully remote.


Compensation & Schedule:

Pay: $23/HR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Schedule: Flexible hours determined collaboratively with your supervisor. Calls are made within a window of 10am and 8pm, Monday-Sunday

Supervisor: Dorothea Scalise, Phone Team Lead
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer & Phone Team Lead


Key Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound phone calls to identify and engage voters on key issues affecting Alaska.
  • Encourage active participation in advocacy campaigns and candidate support efforts.
  • Engage respectfully and effectively with members of the public.
  • Accurately record data from conversations and maintain high-quality reporting standards.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet outreach goals.
  • Comply with procedures outlined in The Mobilization Center Employee Manual and Handbook.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Employment Details:This is a seasonal, temporary, at-will position. Employment is voluntary and may be terminated by either the employee or The Mobilization Center at any time, with or without cause or notice.


Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check conducted through a third-party agency.
