Overview 

We are looking for an expert in Data Analysis and technical consulting to join our team who is driven to deliver valuable customer experiences. Our analysts are team-oriented, collaborative, and focus on delivering value in everything we do. We use agile methods to analyze, define, and document business requirements for software solutions that align with organizational goals and help our clients achieve their desired outcomes. We support our clients in their digital product needs – from vision to roadmap to execution.  
 

Responsibilities: 
 

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the business context and objectives by eliciting and analyzing requirements from relevant stakeholders (business users, data engineers, data scientists, etc.).  
  • Operationalize business questions using data.  
  • Demonstrate understanding of relational databases, data architecture, and data modeling.  
  • Build complex SQL statements to answer business questions.  
  • Design conceptual data models, entity relationship diagrams, and business process models.  
  • Transform and cleanse data using tools such as R, SQL, or Python.  
  • Interpret, understand, and explain data insights to clients.  
  • Manage and create dashboards (drag and drop) for storytelling of regular information reports and ad-hoc requests.  
  • Build trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with technical and non-technical team members.  
  • Document Data Analysis processes and outcomes.  
  • Utilize industry or subject matter expertise (e.g., finance, employment, hospitality, web analytics).  

Qualifications: 
 

  • 3+ years of experience in IT or a related industry.  
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.  
  • Experience working with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.  
  • Preferred experience with cloud analytics products such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.  
  • Preferred knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.  
  • Strong analytical aptitude and ability to structure complex or undefined business problems.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to report and present findings to varying stakeholders.  
  • Hands-on experience using tools to help clients make data-driven decisions.  
  • Knowledge and practice of core Agile values and principles is a plus.  
  • Initiative to learn new strategies and trends to continue to educate self analytically, technically, and technologically.  
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  

This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary that Excella reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top or bottom of the range. 
 
Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus in addition to the base salary. This variable pay opportunity is dependent upon the attainment of shared firmwide goals and objectives as determined by Excella’s Executive Team. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. 

Should your experience and knowledge qualify you for a different position or title within Excella, we may consider you for positions that better align with your qualifications. In that case, we will provide the range for those positions as well. 

Pay Range
$97,220—$143,711 USD
