Job description

SUMMARY:

Seeking to hire a full-time Senior QA Analyst / QA Engineer to be an important part of a team that supports state-of-the-art bridge management software used by government Departments of Transportation across North America to inventory, inspect, and manage their bridges. They will be expected to work with an energetic team that includes product owners, quality testers, civil engineers, and other software developers.

** This is a full-time REMOTE position and the pay is $35--45 per hour (Depends on your Experience).

Responsibilities:

  • Write, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and mobile-responsive testing
  • Perform exploratory testing to surface issues that scripted cases miss
  • Log clear, reproducible defects with steps, expected vs. actual results, environment details, and supporting evidence
  • Investigate issues to root cause and triage severity/priority in partnership with engineering and product
  • Verify fixes and run regression passes before release sign-off


Qualifications:

  • Five or more years in software QA, with substantial experience testing complex web applications
  • Strong grasp of QA methodologies, the SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practice
  • Proven ability to write thorough test cases from ambiguous or incomplete requirements
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data setup and verification
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences

Desired:

  • Accessibility testing against WCAG 2.1 AA
  • Basic security testing awareness (OWASP Top 10)
  • API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent
  • Comfort with browser developer tools for inspecting network traffic, console errors, and the DOM
  • Familiarity with transportation, bridge inspection, or other civil-infrastructure domains
