What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Keyboard Player, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Keyboard Player, you need strong musical proficiency, sight-reading ability, and experience with various keyboard instruments, often supported by formal music education or equivalent experience. Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs), MIDI controllers, and virtual instrument software is typically required. Excellent communication, self-discipline, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for collaborating remotely with other musicians and producers. These skills ensure high-quality performances, seamless collaboration, and reliable delivery of musical projects in virtual environments.

How do remote keyboard players effectively collaborate with other band members during virtual sessions?

Remote keyboard players often use digital audio workstations (DAWs) and real-time collaboration platforms to sync with bandmates during virtual sessions. Communication is key, so regular video calls, shared sheet music, and version-controlled audio files help keep everyone aligned. While latency can be a challenge, many teams schedule parts recording separately and then merge tracks in post-production. This workflow requires strong organization and adaptability, fostering teamwork even across distances.

What is a remote keyboard player?

A remote keyboard player is a musician who performs keyboard parts for musical projects without being physically present at a studio or venue. They typically use digital audio workstations and recording equipment from their own home or private studio to collaborate with bands, producers, or composers online. This role requires strong technical skills, reliable internet, and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members virtually. Remote keyboard players are often hired for recording sessions, live virtual performances, and remote collaborations across various music genres.

Job description

The State Policy Specialist will own all programmatic operations in a portfolio of Aledade markets (5 markets/Specialist) including being responsible with a great degree of autonomy for the implementation and adoption of programmatic activities, sustaining practice interest in advocacy activities, and ultimately influencing legislative environments to be more conducive to primary care sustainability. This will be accomplished by managing market policy operations, sharing knowledge with member practices and Aledade teams, and engaging with external stakeholders across the spectrum of seniority and influence, including state and federal legislators and state associations.

This role requires a deep situational awareness of the policy space as well as the ability to discern customer needs and collaborate across teams and audiences. It emphasizes a proactive approach to policy-related developments and solidification as the subject matter expert of policy in their assigned portfolio of states. This expertise is expected to be leveraged along with developed relationships to drive primary care sustainability efforts within the market portfolio.

This role requires approximately 10-20% travel to support markets in the western region (including Sacramento, Denver, Topeka, among others).

We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home across US time zones.
Primary Duties
  1. Be the expert on policy knowledge at the market-level, particularly for issues pertaining to primary care sustainability, serving as an internal resource for market teams and beyond. Fully understand unique landscapes, payer relations, physician engagement (including leading regular virtual and potentially in-person events), stakeholder dynamics, and more. Collaborate on inter-team projects including work with Partnerships, Growth, Clinical, Communications, etc.

  1. Coordinate with external stakeholders (eg. state-level associations, government agencies, payers) to align shared priorities and collaboratively shape the primary care landscape and associated advocacy strategies for legislative change in each state.

  1. Create and execute a suite of state-specific products on a regular basis  including presentations, advocacy campaigns, co-developing webinars and associated written pieces, shaping legislative workgroups and development, etc. Expected to lead certain areas of expertise to inform the Policy Institute’s stance and related outcomes.

  2. Assist with broader team efforts that have both federal and state implications (eg. RHTP, annual PFS, fielding Flex requests).

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience is required; a Master's in a relevant field can serve as a substitute for some work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, business, or other relevant field is required.

  • Required to register as a lobbyist in one or more states within portfolio.

  • Some general knowledge of the legislative process at federal and state levels with keen interest and curiosity about primary care and/or value-based care.

  • Ability to travel to each of assigned five markets 1-2 times annually, as well as 3-5 team-related events and conferences.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and/or abilities
  • Experience in VBC and/or primary care advocacy

  • Experience working within grassroots organizations and/or campaigns

  • Strong communication, verbal and written

  • Strong team player attitude

  • Detail-oriented

Physical Requirements
Sitting for prolonged periods of time. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Occasional walking and lifting may be required.
Salary Range: $70,000-$89,000 base + bonuses
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
