Position Overview

Clear Beginning Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. In this full-time role, you will be integral in providing mental health support and psychoeducation, particularly focusing on perinatal mental health. This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing psychoeducation on perinatal mental health, assessing client needs, implementing appropriate interventions, and conducting follow-up services to ensure ongoing support.
  • Identifying and establishing relationships with potential referral sources such as inpatient facilities and community-based programs to enhance the intake process.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to the ethical standards set forth by the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
  • Developing expertise in Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Medicaid, and Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) compliance requirements to assist in maintaining accreditation and certification.
  • Conducting psychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans while tracking client progress, ensuring documented strategies align with each client’s unique care requirements.
  • Facilitating consumer support groups to foster community and peer support among clients.
  • Participating in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to enhance team performance and share best practices.
  • Providing direct support through individual meetings with clients, family members, and other professionals involved in the client's care.
  • Networking with local agencies and civic organizations to support client advocacy and resource navigation.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be to support clients through the challenges associated with mental health during the perinatal period. You will work with a diverse client base, including expectant parents, new parents, and individuals experiencing mental health issues in relation to their parenting journey. The role emphasizes culturally competent care, ensuring that all clients receive respectful and individualized treatment consistent with their backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent (LMFT, LICSW) in the state of Washington.
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to meet client needs.
  • Exemplary communication skills, showcasing your ability to convey information accurately and actively listen to clients and colleagues.
  • A clean history regarding Medical Malpractice Claims, confirmed through third-party verification.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with the following experience are highly desirable:

  • Previous work in perinatal mental health or similar specialties.
  • Experience in outpatient mental health settings with a focus on assessment and treatment planning.
