  • Candidate is in Wisconsin currently or plans to relocate (at their cost) at contract start
  • 5+ Years as a .NET Web Developer
  • Full-stack
  • .NET MVC Core
  • SQL Server as DBA (wants someone who can create tables, views, stored procedures, and functions)
  • If the candidate is a relocation or has no history of working for clients in Wisconsin, need:

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

This position will support a high-profile web application modernization initiative for the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. The project involves rewriting and modernizing legacy Web Forms applications into a modern web application using Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC with C#, JavaScript, Telerik Kendo, CSS, HTML, and Microsoft SQL Server.

The contractor will work closely with the development team to design and develop both the front-end and server-side components of the application. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, application design, front-end and back-end development, unit and smoke testing, participation in interactive code reviews, and development of technical documentation.

The application will interface with existing authentication and authorization systems and integrate data from multiple databases and applications. Expectations include delivery of high-quality code, active participation in code reviews, sharing technical expertise, clear and respectful communication, transparency, and adherence to development standards.
