What you will be doing:

We are seeking a dedicated Web Developer who will support of the Technical Operations Division of USAFSAM Occupational and Environmental Health Department (OE). Developers will design, build, and test enhancement and sustainment capability for all OE modules within the Human Performance Wing Support System (HPWS). HPWS is a locally hosted web application built using Adobe ColdFusion 2023 Enterprise, Oracle 19c, and Microsoft SQL Server 2019. HPWS provides mission critical support to the 711th Human Performance Wing and serves over 2.5 million views yearly to Air Force personnel and other US government service branches and agencies worldwide. Web development and computer programming support is provided to the Wing through the HPWS Program Office, 711 HPW/OMCI.

You Must Have:

  • Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship
  • Must be able to pass a background screening
  • Possess the minimum Education and Work Experience (one of the following):
    • B.S. in Computer Science and/or CIS and 4 years Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development.
    • Any bachelor's degree and 6 years' Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development.
    • Any post-secondary education and 8 years of Web development experience working with Adobe ColdFusion web applications and Oracle relational database development.
  • Experience creating and updating Web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. Familiarity with D3 data visualization JavaScript library is preferable.
  • Experience creating, reading, and understanding Oracle and procedural language (PL/SQL).
  • Experience designing, building, and understanding relational database models.
  • Experience designing, building, and modifying relational database objects, including tables, views, sequences, triggers, procedures, and functions.
  • Experience creating, reading, and understanding complex SQL queries.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and jQuery within Web applications, especially using jQuery AJAX transactions.
  • Experience performing system analysis and reverse engineering of existing systems.
  • Experience working throughout the entire software development lifecycle; from collecting and documenting requirements, to designing, building, testing, and deploying a complete web application.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English with project stakeholders. This includes being able to convey technical or complex information concisely and accurately through written reports, emails, and verbal presentation.
