Job description

Senior Software / Cloud Engineer
Remote (U.S. Based)
Long-Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software / Cloud Engineer to support the migration of legacy systems and the modernization of APIs in alignment with ITGC (IT General Controls) standards. This role will play a key part in evolving integrations with new enterprise platforms while ensuring the development of secure, scalable, and audit-ready data pipelines. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in cloud-native application development, API design, and distributed systems, with the ability to contribute both strategically and hands-on throughout the software development lifecycle.

In this role, you will lead efforts to migrate existing systems to integrate directly with a new solution, modernize the commissions API through a tokenized and reportable architecture, and ensure data is transferred accurately and securely to support audit readiness. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in architectural discussions, and provide development support for both new and existing applications. Success in this position requires strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, Golang, containerized environments, and AWS services including ECS/Fargate, CloudFormation, SQS, and Lambda, along with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a collaborative environment.

Required Technical Skills:

  • 7–10 years of software development experience with Java
  • Strong experience building and integrating RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Spring Boot
  • Experience with Golang for backend development
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies
  • Experience with AWS services including ECS/Fargate, CloudFormation, SQS, and Lambda
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, cloud architectures, and secure data transfer practices
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
