Integra Partners is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our development team. We are in the middle of modernizing Integra’s EDI platform, a perfect opportunity for the right skilled candidate to join in our multi-year technology initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position is a highly skilled and motivated professional with a deep understanding of Electronic Data Interchange and its application within the healthcare industry. This individual possesses a proven track record in successfully implementing and managing EDI solutions and is a proactive and adaptable individual, able to stay on top of the latest advancements in EDI technologies and IT industry best practices.
Salary:$110,000/Annually
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
The EDI Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage data transformation processes to handle EDI transactions and healthcare-specific formats (e.g., HL7, X12).
• Ensure accurate data mapping and transformation within containerized applications.
• Monitor deployed EDI applications' performance, health, and resource utilization.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain high availability and reliability of the deployed software.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate applications using APIs and EDI to various systems.
• Ensure seamless data exchange between applications and external partners.
• Work closely with SRE team to automate build and deployment of EDI applications.
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and interoperability.
• Perform load testing to evaluate system performance under heavy workloads.
• Maintains active relationships with vendors to build and maintain EDI workloads.
What will you learn in the first 6 months?
• You will not only enhance your technical expertise by building integration services, but also contribute significantly to the successful deployment of containerized software solutions and EDI innovations in the healthcare domain.
What will you achieve in the first 12 months?
• You will help to modernize the Integra EDI platform.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
• 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing software applications.
• Experience with Object Oriented and Functional design and development.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Experience with high performance/high volume batch processing applications.
• Experience with EDI (x12 HIPAA transactions), FHIR is plus.
• Experience with Edifecs tools (xEngine, XEServer, EAM, SpecBuilder, TM).
• Experience with backend development using Java or Golang.
• Experience with microservices architecture (APIs, Events, Observability).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Devops & CI/CD.
